As your student’s science teacher, I would like to introduce myself and extend to you and your student my warmest welcome to Chemistry and/or Forensics here at Fitzgerald High School. This is my third year at Fitzgerald High School and my second time being a Spartan. I graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in Biological Sciences with a minor in Chemistry. I am very excited to be working with you and your student and look forward to having a positive and successful 2015-2016 school year.
As a teacher, I strive to encourage learning and scientific exploration with exciting interactive lessons, labs, demonstrations and technology-based instructions so to provide your student with an understanding of scientific concepts and a positive learning experience. Throughout the year, we will be working towards further developing critical thinking, analysis, inquiry, research, test-taking and study skills that are key to success in all academic disciplines.
I expect all students to follow the Classroom Policies and Procedures and to always put their best foot forward to be an academically successful student. Students are to be actively engaged in class by coming to class on time, being prepared with all necessary materials outlined in the course syllabus, completing in-class and nightly assignments and being a respectful and responsible part of our class.
I am looking forward to working with you and your student throughout this trimester. I am always here to answer any questions or concerns you or your students may have. I hope that you will feel free to email me at [email protected] any time with questions, comments, suggestions or concerns. I can also be reached by phone at (586) 757-7070 or via the contact form found below.
I hope you and your student are as excited as I am for a great year here at Fitzgerald High School!
Go Spartans!
